Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh today said that Centre and coastal states have to work together for effective implementation of National Policy on Marine Fisheries which will promote integrated development for next 10 years.

Addressing the Fisheries Ministers of Coastal states and Union Territories in New Delhi, Mr Singh said, government has decided to promote deep sea fishing and has introduced a sub-component - Assistance for Deep Sea Fishing under the Blue Revolution.

The Minister said, budget provision of over seven thousand 500 crore rupees for establishing Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund has potential to benefit 40 lakh fishermen, especially women, self-help groups and weaker sections.
