Market Now: Realty stocks mixed; HDIL surges nearly 9%
BPCL, NTPC and Bharti Airtel were among the top Nifty losers.
NEW DELHI: Realty stocks were trading mixed during afternoon trade on Thursday.

The Nifty Realty index was trading flat at 307 around 02:30 pm.

Shares of Housing Development & Infrastructure (up 8.60 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (up 1.94 per cent), Sobha (up 1.10 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (up 0.60 per cent) and Phoenix Mills (up 0.30 per cent) were in the green.

On the other hand, Brigade Enterprises (down 4.55 per cent), DLF (down 0.85 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 0.41 per cent) and Godrej Properties (down 0.05 per cent) were in the red.

Selling in metal, energy, banks, financials and IT counters were keeping the bourses down.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 20 points at 10,721, while the BSE Sensex was 90 points down at 35,298.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.

Tata Motors, Bajaj Finance and Bharti Infratel were leading the pack of Nifty gainers.

BPCL, NTPC and Bharti Airtel were among the top Nifty losers.
