Welcome to Refresh – a new initiative by young people, for young people,  to provide a free-market response to Britain's biggest issues ​

Leaving home-comforts, mixing with a new crowd and discovering your own way in life make university an exciting and formative time. But for some students it’s a toxic mix that leaves them stressed, lonely, unhappy – even suicidal.

Ten students at Bristol University have taken their lives in the last 18 months. The number of students who die by suicide has now overtaken the overall figure for the same age group. Suicides among female students have doubled in the past five years. These awful, avoidable deaths are a tragic expression of a much larger problem....
