Several Verizon customers in New York and New Jersey found that the company has begun defining data limits on their DSL plans, according to a report by a consumer group.

On Verizon's website, a dashboard for existing customers showed that the company's high-speed internet plan has a data limit of 150GB, while its high-speed internet enhanced plan has a limit of 250GB, according to a Thursday report by Stop the Cap. Only existing customers in sections of upstate New York and New Jersey who were looking to change or upgrade their current DSL package could see the data limits.

Verizon didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
