The Chief guest of the event was Mrs Sangeeta Gupta, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax,
Delhi. A Multifaceted lady Sangeeta Gupta has broken the glass ceilings by being the first woman from the small district of U.P, to be an IRS officer. She is an abstract artist & has also left her mark on the literary and celluloid world.
Key Speakers panel included Raj Nehru, the Vice-Chancellor at India’s first skill University, is a man with a mission to develop qualified youths with skill proficiencies. He enlightened about women’s strong presence through vedic ages to the modern society. Pradeep Dutta, Senior Editor Times Now works immensely in the women empowerment space in conflicting, chaotic violent areas. Dr .Varna Sriraman, Social Researcher (MPP|MBA|MLE|PhD*) has a decade plus of work experience in social research including research design, management, implementation and evaluation. Karan Walia, Senior advisor for start-up’s and fintecs globally. Karan is a banking leader who embarked the 1st step towards his success as one of the youngest COO in an investment bank.
The Chief guest Sangeeta Gupta threw light on day to day efforts , household work apart from excelling in multi-tasking and shared her own experiences in making rise to such a higher position in Govt. of India.
Mr Nehru dwelt at length the importance of women in keeping traditions & culture alive. Mr Dutta describedWomen’s role in conflict zones and shared his experiences travelling and seeing education thrills of women in Pakistan. Dr. Varna & Mr. Karan put an emphasis on importance of retaining skills in multinational organizations & quick and easy steps organizations can create an ecosystem that will make return back to work easy.
DISHA – the multifaceted She focuses on integration, collaboration, motivation and inspiration of modern woman through a technology platform and make that return back to work a swift process. Welcoming the guests Anisha Safaya laid stress on the need of working women and improving gender diversity in present society. Anisha Safaya is also Vice President in an investment Bank in Uk, a woaman withstrong will, compassionate at heart, competitive at mind and believes that there us a huge gap that needs to be filled to make the process of getting women back to work workable. Spreading awareness, collecting data and converting into a useful information, mentoring & councelling is a must do and she is happy to share that subject matter experts from all over the world are wanting to be part of this initative.
