‘Bhairav Mahotsav’ on 19, 20 May at Chandankiyari

In a bid to enhance tourism in Jharkhand and to make the state a cultural hub, a two days ‘Bhairav Mahotsav’ is scheduled to be kicked-off on 19 May at Bhairav Sthan in Bhojudih under Chandankiyari block, about 42 kms from the district headquarter of Bokaro.

This Mahostav (the third edition) would be organised by the state tourism department in joint association with the district administration, to give more exposure and to enhance Bhairav Sthan as a tourist spot, said Amar Bauri Minister for Revenue, Land Reforms, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs of Jharkhand.

“This festival will prove a milestone for state tourism industry; the Mahotsav will be concluded on 20 May”, added Bauri. Several artists from Jharkhand and other parts of the country will perform here. Famous Gazal Singer Anup Jalota and Aditya Narayan will perform on 19 while Sona Mahapatra, Kuldip Dewedi and Blind Ford Band will enthrall the audiences on 20 May, the minister said.

We are planning to establish a guest house at Bhairav Sthan; besides road roots, we are also trying our best to make communication easy through rail roots too, said minister while interacting with newsmen at Circuit House in Bokaro.   

Besides cultural programmes, Food Festival, Sports Festival, Art and Cultural Fair are also scheduled to be organized during this eve, sources informed.
