Thieves escape with Rs 6.50L cash, costly liquors from Govt shop

Thieves escaped with cash and liquor of an estimated worth of Rs 6.50 lakes from a government liquor shop near Check post under Chas police station in Bokaro district last night.According to the police, the thieves escaped with the cash and liquors after breaking the lock of the shop. An FIR has been lodged against unidentified person thieves, informed Pramod Pandey OC of Chas Police Station.  During the investigation we found that Rs 5.50 lakes cash (accumulated after the sale of last five days) was kept in the locker at the shop was stolen and thieves also escaped with costly liquors worth over Rs 92 thousand,” added OC.“We are still investigating the matter, that why such huge cash was kept in the locker instead of depositing into the bank,” he said.Meanwhile, in another incident, thieves escaped with jewellery and valuables worth of Rs 9 lakes form the house of RK Singh a teacher at TTPS Lalpania residential colony. Nobody was in the house at that time of the incident, all family members were out of the city, informed OC.
