Woman charged with impaired driving after slamming into empty school bus, leaving her passenger dead

A 23-year-old woman has been charged with impaired driving after she drove her car into the back of a parked school bus, killing her male passenger.

Female driver also taken to hospital after crash that left SUV crumpled

A 23-year-old woman has been charged with impaired driving after she drove her car into the back of a parked school bus, killing her male passenger.

Toronto paramedics say they were called to the scene just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday night. They say the man, who was in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The woman was also injured, and was taken to hospital by paramedics in serious but stable condition. 

The pair were driving on Lake Shore Boulevard between Thirteenth and Fifteenth streets when the SUV the woman was driving crashed into the bus, crushing the vehicle's passenger side.
