Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday congratulated alliance partner Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over their win in Karnataka Assembly elections.

“Hearty congratulations to @BJP4India for their stellar performance in Karnataka. #KarnatakaVerdict”, Mehbooba tweeted.

Opposition leader Omar Abdullah looked amazed over the victory. “Et tu #Karnataka,” he wrote on twitter. He said the Congress should not be criticized for trying to form government with JD (U). “Whether the Congress manages to form a Government by supporting JD (S) or not, they shouldn’t be criticized for trying. The BJP would be doing exactly the same thing if the positions were reversed,” he said in another tweet.

Dozens of BJP workers assembled at the party’s provincial office in a government quarter at Jawahir Nagar to celebrate BJP’s victory. They shouted slogans and burst crackers.
