‘Operate chemo unit at B’pur City Hosp’

The Manav Adhikar Suraksha Manch has urged the State Government for early functioning of the six-bed chemotherapy centre and provision of other facilities at the City Hospital here. 

In a memorandum handed over to the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO), Manch coordinator Abani Kumar Gaya and others mentioned that the chemotherapy centre set up at the City Hospital was yet to be utilised for providing free service to cancer patients. They demanded that the centre be operationalied soon.

Besides, they demanded that CT scan and digital X-ray machines be established and free pathological tests be provided to patients under the Nidan scheme soon.

Mentioning that Dalals have been troubling patients of OPDs, the Manch demanded immediate stops for stopping of any kind of mediation between patients and doctors.

Among others, Manoj Kumar Tarai, S Surjya Narayana, Shyam Sundar Khadanga, Maguni Nahak, Maheshawr Badatya, Laxmi Narayan Rout and Supriya Pati undersigned the memorandum.
