After the fractured verdict in the Karnataka assembly election, hectic activities by BJP, Congress and JD(S) are on to form Government.
BJP state President B S Yeddyurappa was elected as the legislative party leader this morning. Later, he met the Governor and made a submission that he has the requisite majority to form Government.
Meanwhile, H D Kumaraswamy was elected as JD(S) legislative party leader after a meeting of the party legislators. Later, speaking to media persons, Kumaraswamy said there is no possibility of him changing his decision to go with the Congress.
He thanked Congress for lending him support to form government. Kumaraswamy said he will meet the Governor once again along with Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President to stake claim for government formation.
Earlier, addressing media persons, Union Minister Prakash Javdekar accused the Congress of taking a backdoor entry to form Government with JD(S).
He said, people of Karnataka have rejected the Congress in the state. He said, BJP has emerged as the single largest party and it is for the Governor to decide which party should be given a chance to prove majority.
He called JD(S)-Congress alliance as unethical and said it is a marriage of convenience between them.
