Jet Airways will launch couple of flights from Allahabad

Under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), Jet Airways will launch couple of flights from the Sangam city of Allahabad and Bareilly from next month.

As per the schedule, Jet Airways will launch Lucknow-Allahabad-Patna flight from June 14 while Allahabad-Nagpur-Indore flights will o be launched from June 16. Both the flights would be thrice a week.

Similarly  Lucknow-Bareilly-Delhi service will too start soon.

Announcing this, state civil aviation minister Nand Gopal Gupta  Nandi said on Tuesday that after the operation of new air service commutation time between Lucknow and Allahabad would be  just 30 minutes.

 “Soon Allahabad will come in the aviation map when people can fly to Bihar, West Bengal, Maharashtra and other places from the city,” he said.

 According to Jet Airways, flight number 9W3555, will operate thrice a week, from June 14. It will depart from Lucknow at 0730 in the morning reaching Allahabad at  0805 hrs. In its onward journey to Patna, it will leave at 0835 hours from Allahabad to reach Patna at 1015 hours. In the return journey, it will leave Patna at 1040 hours to reach Allahabad at 1220 hours and later it will reach Lucknow at 1325 hours.

Similarly from June 16, Jet Airways 9W3553 flight would leave Nagpur at 0945 hours to reach Allahabad at 1150 hours. From Allahabad it will fly at 1220 to reach Indore at 1430 hours. In the return journey it will fly from Indore at 1500 hours and reach Allahabad at 1710 hours while from Allahabad it will fly at  1740 hours to reach Nagpur at 1945 hours. The UP minister said under the RCS, 11 new airports are being develop in the state and within next 15 months regular flight services would start from Aligarh, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Chitrakoot, Jhansi, Moradabad, Sonebhadra , Allahabad and Shravasti. In the second phase of RCS, nine airport and 22 air routes have been selected. Air services to 13 cities would commence from Allahabad which includes Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhuveneshwar, Mumbai, Gorakhpur, Dehradun, Indore, Kolkata, Raipur, Pune and Nagpur. Besides, civil enclave of the airport would be completed in Agra, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Kanpur and Allahabad while expansion of the Lucknow airport has been approved.
