PATIALA: Two youngsters of
Fatehgarh Sahib drowned in
Bhakhra canal on Tuesday while trying to save their pet that accidentally slipped into the canal.
The police said that divers were deputed to fish out the victims as soon as the information reached them. "Both the young boys jumped one after another in an attempt to save their pet dog," the cops said.
"The bodies of both the boys and the dog have not been found yet. We have recorded the statements of the eyewitnesses and the family members. A case of in this regard would be registered soon," the cops added. TNN
