2020 Range Rover Coupe Spied Looking a Bit Strange
Spy photographers have caught a 2020 Range Rover Coupe prototype making laps at the Nurburgring.
Current Land Rover head of design, Gerry McGovern, has confirmed the British automaker is working on a three-door Range Rover model, and this appears to be it. This prototype looks a bit awkward because it’s based on the current Range Rover, but with some obvious changes you would expect to see on a three-door SUV. The rear windows look a bit strange, but it’s actually not a far departure from the 2019 Range Rover SV Coupe that debuted earlier this year. Expect the production version to be a shortened variant of the SV Coupe.
With the rising trend of “coupe-SUVs,” it’s little surprise Range Rover is joining the competition. The production debut should be sometime next year and hopefully the Range Rover Coupe fares better than the three-door Evoque Coupe, which was discontinued in the U.S. late last year.
