John Abraham dons cop's hat in 'Batla House'

John has joined the cast of 'Batla House', based on a terrorist encounter.

John will essay the role of a cop in the real-life inspired film.

The news was confirmed by Taran Adarsh, a and an Indian film critic, on his handle.

He wrote, "John and team up again... Nikkhil will direct John in #BatlaHouse... Starts Sept 2018... Written by Ritesh Shah... Will be filmed in Delhi, Mumbai, and .. Nikkhil last directed John in #SalaamEIshq".

The film will bring the real-life incident of 'Encounter', officially known as Operation Batla House, to the silver screen. The incident took place on September, 19, 2008, against (IM) terrorists in locality in Jamia Nagar,

The film will be helmed by of 'Airlift' fame and written by Ritesh Shah of 'Pink' fame. Nikkhil had previously directed John in 'Salaam-E-Ishq'.
