Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today said that information without confirmation is like an ammunition.

Addressing the third convocation ceremony of Kushabhau Thakre Journalism and Mass Communication University in Raipur, state capital of Chhattisgarh, he said information should be a means for empowerment.

Vice President said that news and views should not be mixed. News should be for constructive purpose and not for any destructive purpose.

More than 400 students have been conferred M. Phil, degrees and postgraduate degrees at this convocation ceremony. Besides, 19 students have been awarded gold medal.

Chief Minister Raman Singh and Chhattisgarh state assembly speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal also attended the function.
