Pappu Sardar spreads cheer among needy to mark his idol’s birthday

Like thousands of others, Pappu Sardar an owner of chat shop, Manohar Chat in Sakchi idolises Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit. But he is a unique member of her fan club in that he has taken it upon himself to reach out to those in need while dedicating the service to her.

In view of General Election, in 2019, Pappu is spreading the message on importance of voting and will educate people to actively participate in elections to exercise their franchise.

Like every year, Pappu spent the day ? amongst the inmates of the Cheshire Home and Old Age Home, who are special invitees on this occasion. He distributed fruits and gifts to the inmates.

“I have printed several awareness literature based on need to educate people on voting. The same is being distributed. I have also put hoardings across the city to educate people,” informed Pappu.

Pappu has been celebrating Dixit's birthday since 1996. Pappu said that the people should actively participate to practice their franchise. He noted that the idea is to reaching out to individual houses and urging the residents to exercise their constitutional right by casting their? ?vote in the coming elections. “The voter awareness campaign hope to distribute handbills to voters, appealing to them to compulsorily exercise their franchise, not to accept money for voting, motivate their neighbours, friends and relatives to vote,” said the famous fan.

He has urged the voters to cast their vote compulsorily and choose the candidate of their choice who could deliver goods to them and protect the interests of the region and the State.

 Pappu shot into the limelight for his attraction towards the actress. In 2008 he even got the opportunity to meet Madhuri.

Moreover, his day begins with offering pujas for the actress. Such is his popularity that an American student also carried a research on his personality.

“She is my idol, no one could stop me from serving the society, which is closer to my heart than any thing else in my life. I want to spread smiles among the underprivileged children on her name,” said Pappu.
