Bhawna Garg joins as DDG UIDAI Chandigarh

Bhawna Garg, a Punjab cadre IAS officer of the 1999 batch,  has joined  as the Deputy Director General (DDG) in the Chandigarh Regional Office of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

She replaces Ram Subhag Singh, IAS, officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre who has been repatriated to his parent State.

Garg was earlier serving as Secretary, Employment Generation &Training, Technical Education and Industrial Training with Punjab government.

The Chandigarh Regional Office of UIDAI has been assigned to enroll and issue Aadhaar to   residents of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh  and Jammu & Kashmir.
