The new trailer, following one that was released around the Super Bowl, includes more footage of Cruise’s Ethan Hunt in action to thwart an international nuclear threat — including a rooftop jump that cost Cruise a broken ankle during filming.
Along with Cruise, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin and Sean Harris are returning to the series.
New additions to the cast include Angela Bassett, Vanessa Kirby, Wes Bentley, Sean Harris and Henry Cavill, who is sporting the mustache that had to be edited out of Warner Bros.’ “Justice League.”
