England World Cup squad: Standby list REVEALED - the five players whose dreams are on hold
GARETH SOUTHGATE has confirmed his England squad for the 2018 World Cup – and has unveiled a five-man standby list.
The final England squad for the 2018 World Cup has been confirmed with notable omissions including Adam Lallana, Jack Wilshere and Joe Hart.
Only one of those players has been included on Southgate's standby list in case of injuries or withdrawals from the 23-man party.
Hart has not been included on the standby list, with Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton taking a place among the backups.
Heaton's team-mate James Tarkowski is also on standby, while three central midfielders make up the majority of the reserve list.
