TPDDL launches system for smart power distribution, management of outages

Power distribution company has launched a system enabling smart distribution and management of faults and outages in north and north west

The newly launched Advanced (ADMS) will aid the Tata Power-DDL (TPDDL) to enhance the "reliability, safety and efficiency" of the network spread across 510 square km in north and north-west by facilitating advanced monitoring, analytics, and better control and planning, said a statement from the discom.

The Advanced also looks at network performance optimisation on a single platform by integrating (supervisory control and data acquisition), DMS (distribution management system) and (outage management system), the statement added.
