HYDERABAD: Only a few days after ladies-only coaches were inaugurated in trains plying on the
Miyapur-Nagole stretch of
Hyderabad Metro Rail (
HMR), commuters pointed out that men can now be seen travelling in these coaches.
L&T Metro Rail Limited officials, replying to one such complaint raised by a female commuter on social media, tweeted, “Men in ladies coaches are not allowed irrespective of peak/non-peak hours. Announcements are being made to this effect and staff are sent to check as well educate commuters.”

Reddy, said police personnel manning metro stations will now be ‘put on the job’ to ensure that men do not travel in the ladies-only coaches. Signs and displays to this effect have been put up at operational metro stations in the city.
