MLA promises end to KU employees’ woes

Employees of Kakatiya University here have received an assurance from Warangal (West) MLA Dasyam Vinaya Bhaskar that their problems will be resolved soon.

Addressing the non-teaching staff late last evening at the Seminar Hall of the University College of Commerce and Business Management, Mr. Vinaya Bhaskar said he was fully aware of their issues and would bring them to the notice of the government for consideration.

The meeting was called by the KU Employees Joint Action Committee as part of “Karmika Masothsavam”, a programme designed and organised by Vinaya Bhaskar himself to identify the problems of employees.

Responding to the appeals, he said the demands of university employees such as issue of health cards, filling up of vacant posts, enhancement of block grant, minimum wages to daily wage employees, etc. are genuine and he would strive to resolve them. He said he is firm on protecting the university lands from encroachment.

All India University Employees Confederation Vice-President and JAC chairman Pulla Srinivas urged the MLA to give personal attention to the problems of the University non-teaching employees.
