Mohamed Salah: Dimitar Berbatov reveals exactly what makes the Liverpool star so special
FORMER Premier League Golden Boot winner Dimitar Berbatov has revealed exactly what makes Liverpool star Mohamed Salah so special.
Salah only moved to Anfield from Roma last summer but was the Premier League’s top scorer with 32 goals this season.
That tally marked a new goalscoring record in a 38-game season since England’s top-flight was rebranded in 1992.
In comparison, when Berbatov was crowned with the Golden Boot, he had scored 20 goals for Manchester United in the 2010-11 season.
Salah has also helped Liverpool to the Champions League final where they will face Real Madrid on May 26.
But it’s not necessarily the goals that make the Egyptian stand out from the crowd according to former Spurs and Fulham man Berbatov.

“He has the speed, the balance, the left foot,” Berbatov told CNN. “If you have a left foot, you are considered to be special.
“He’s very strong too, and that’s unexpected. He has all the components to make him an excellent attacking player.
“He was unbelievable this season. Everything was happening for him and nobody expected that. That makes it even sweeter for him.
“Nobody was paying attention to him after his first time in the league with Chelsea but now he is back with a bang.”
Salah’s achievements have earned him plenty of individual awards this year including PFA Player of the Year and FWA Player of the Year.
The attacker has also been compared to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi with Real Madrid rumoured to be interested in taking Salah to the Spanish capital.
However, when asked if he will leave Liverpool, Salah told Egyptian TV channel ON ENT: “All that I can say is that I’m happy to be here and I’ve adapted to the prevailing atmosphere.
“I’m thinking to end the season in the perfect way.”
