Didi faults Cong for not holding Gowda hand before polls

In statement that read like an indirect attack on Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who had a few days ago predicted a hung Assembly in Karnataka and a windfall Chief Ministership for former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s son Kumarsawamy on Tuesday said the Congress had done itself good had it gone for a pre-electoral alliance with the JD(S) leader. Had the Congress struck and alliance with the JD(S) Karnataka elections results would have been different. “If the Congress had gone into an alliance with the JD(S), the result would have been different. Very different,” the CM who personally called up the 85-year-old patriarch tweeted.
