Terming the BJP’s win in Karnataka the triumph of people- friendly and development-oriented politics over Congress’ “anti-people and anti-development” politics, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday said that his party has won the so called semifinal of 2019 elections. The CM said that the defeat of Congress party was a proof that people will no more accept any political issue other than development.

Talking to media persons at the Project Building Secretariat on Tuesday, the CM credited the party’s win to the people of Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah, saying that people from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari have limitless love and confidence in their Prime Minister.

“When the Prime Minister had taken charge of office there were just eight states with BJP government. Now, Karnataka would be the 21st State where the BJP could form a Government. From North to North East to the South, the victory chariot has reached the gates of Karnataka with this win. And, in a few years’ states like Odisha, West Bengal and others will be be ruled by BJP to make a complete Congress Mukt  Bharat,” said the CM.

“A big message has gone across the country with this win and now people have come to realize that there is one person who can live and die for them. Apart from people of the nation, the people of Karnataka have proved that caste, community and divisive politics will no longer be accepted. The politics that will be accepted by people will be based on development, development and development,” he added.

Talking about the Congress, Das said that it was once a party of freedom fighters and great persons but now it has become a party of a family. “The citizens are not going to accept it. They had already indicated it in the 2014 elections and by 2019 they will root out the party from the country,” he said.

Das, on the occasion, flayed the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, saying that it has always cheated the tribal people of the State. “They protested against unemployment, plight of tribals and poverty but when they formed the government they focused on plundering the State. The youths of Jharkhand have now understood this and they will ensure that it loses the polls in coming years. Time is not far when the country will be Congress Mukt and Jharkhand will be JMM Mukt,” said the CM, adding that the Silli and Gomia bypolls will be won by the BJP.

The CM also shared details of the PM’s programme on the occasion and said that he would be inaugurating and laying foundation of several big projects in the State on May 25. “The PM will inaugurate and lay foundation of Sindri fertilizer plant, NTPC-JBVNL venture, AIIMS at Deoghar, Airport at Deoghar and two new medical colleges in most likelihood. He will also hold a meeting with DCs of aspirational districts at the Ranchi airport. Conincidentally, May 25 is the fourth anniversary of the formation of the government at the Centre and we are indebted to our PM for coming here on the day,” said the CM.

Earlier, the CM also reviewed flagship schemes in Chhotanagpur zone and said that there will be one month long campaign in the areas with 500 and above tribal population to implement schemes of Central government. The campaign will start from  June 30 on the occasion of Hul Divas. Schemes will include Saubhagya scheme, Ujjwala scheme, Ujjwala scheme, Jan Dhan scheme, Jivan jyoti scheme, Prime Minister Security insurance scheme, mission indradhanush scheme.

Das said that on May 24 water harvesting day will be celebrated across the State and during this time the construction of 1000 ponds will start. Agricultural Festival will be organized in each block from June 20-29, in which farmers will be given information about government schemes and their problems will also be resolved.
