Two men have been sentenced, a third charged and a fourth arrested for possessing child pornography, federal authorities said Wednesday.
Michael Gullinese, 48, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for distributing, receiving and possessing child pornography. As part of his guilty plea, Gullinese admitted that he used his cell phone to send and receive child pornography over the Kik messaging app between Jan. 23, 2017 and his arrest on March 14, 2017. Gullinese, of Albany, has a 2010 federal child pornography conviction and is a sex offender.
A 52-year-old Buskirk man was sentenced to 78 months in prison for receiving and possessing child pornography. Keith Bleau admitted in a guilty plea that he used the Internet and software to download child pornography videos between Nov. 1, 2016 and May 15, 2017. A judge also imposed a 15-year term of supervised release and Bleau will be required to register as a sex offender.
Kenneth Monahan, of Menands, is charged with possessing child pornography. According to a criminal complaint, the 43-year-old allegedly had child pornography on his home computer and downloaded it through a peer-to-peer file-sharing program. If convicted, he faces a maximum term of 10 years in prison, a mandatory term of supervised release of five years and up to life, mandatory registration as a sex offender and a maximum $250,000 fine.
These three announcements were made by U.S. Attorney Grant Jaquith and Janelle Miller of the FBI's Albany office.
Albany police said a city man was arrested Tuesday for possessing child pornography on his electronic devices. Roger Adams, 52, was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child, both of which are felonies.
