COLOMBO (News 1st) – Former Parliamentarian Anuruddha Polgampola was arrested for an alleged financial fraud in the Northern Expressway project by the Criminal Investigation Department.

Police said the arrest was made after the suspect failed to appear before the Vavuniya Magistrate’s Court for the hearing.

Police added that Anuruddha Polgampola will be produced before the Fort Magistrate’s court.
