Gahanna police responded to report of a group campaigning too close to voting polls May 8.

A group was campaigning in front of a polling site at Center Point Church, 620 McCutcheon Road, according to a report received at 5:24 p.m.

They were inside the restricted distance from the polls and were asked to leave but refused. Police found all parties campaigning in appropriate locations, reports said.

* A man said someone keyed his vehicle at Middle School West, 350 N. Stygler Road, according to a vandalism report received at 8:44 p.m. May 7. It happened near the baseball diamond, reports said.

* A man at a residence near Woodside Green Park, 213 Camrose Court, had a fox on a leash and was letting people pet it, according to a report received at 12:25 p.m. May 7. The reporting party said it had "attacked" someone's leg, reports said. Police checked the area, including the park area of the lake, and didn't find him, reports said.

* A generator was reported stolen on Cherry Bottom Road, according to a report received at 9:19 a.m. May 7.

* A motorcyclist was traveling up and down Imperial Drive with a young child who wasn't wearing a helmet, according to a complaint received at 4:30 p.m. May 6. Police passed a motorcycle with a child on the back, but the juvenile was wearing a helmet, reports said.

* A front porch screen door on Worman Drive was damaged overnight, according to a vandalism report received at 1:48 p.m. May 5.

* A fence was written on at a Lincolnshire Road residence, according to a vandalism report received at 12:13 p.m. May 5.

* A group of juveniles threw eggs and construction cones on the front porch of a Worman Drive residence, according to a vandalism report received at 11:50 p.m. May 4. It happened 10 minutes earlier, and the same thing occurred the past two Fridays between 11:30 p.m. and midnight, reports said. This was the only house that was hit, according to reports.

* Items were reported stolen from a vehicle on Hensel Woods Road, according to a report received at 5:46 p.m. May 4. The theft occurred a couple nights earlier, reports said.

* A man was unhappy when an administrator of a business told him to move from a parking lot on Havens Corners Road at 3:54 p.m. May 4. He and his two juvenile daughters had a giant sign and were asking people for money. Police advised him he can't panhandle. He said he didn't know that and would leave. He was trying to get back to California and didn't have enough money, reports said.

* A work computer and bag were reported stolen from a vehicle on Southwind Drive, according to a report received at 6:58 a.m. May 4.

* A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle overnight on Highmeadow Drive, according to a report received at 12:21 p.m. May 3.

* Tools were reported stolen from a business on Blatt Boulevard, according to a report received at 10:56 a.m. May 3.

* A wallet was reported stolen after an unidentified person broke into a vehicle on Mechwart Place, according to a report received at 10:05 a.m. May 3.

* A car was broken into overnight on East Johnstown Road, according to a report received at 9:35 a.m. May 3.

* Clothes were reported stolen after an unidentified person broke into a vehicle overnight in the first block of Highmeadow Drive, according to a report received at 7:58 a.m. May 3.
