Somerset Berkley 3, Durfee 2: At Durfee, Austin Macek and Nick Mahjoory's 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 first doubles win over Tom Panchley and Luke Cabral gave the Raiders this win.

SB's Danny Botelho took an abbreviated first singles match 5-2 (retired) over Roger DeSouza. Troy Matos, at No. 3, gave SB its other point by defeating Dick Cabral 6-3, 6-1.

At second doubles, Durfee's Baron Snizek and Ryan Maurico won 6-2, 6-1 over Devin Barros and Will Brownell. Durfee's Cris Hutchin defeated Chase Franco 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.

Durfee is 8-4.

Case 3, Bourne 2: At Swansea Memorial Park, Eli Geldard (6-4, 6-0 at first singles), Tyler Abdallah (6-0, 6-0 at third singles) and the undefeated No. 1 doubles team of Will Kenyon and Mac Deschenes (6-2, 6-3) gave the high-flying Cardinals (9-1) the edge in this South Coast Conference match.

Westport 5, Coyle and Cassidy 0: At the Diane Snyder Tennis Complex in Westport, seventh grader Evan Kidd (6-3, 6-0) and Brendan Martin (6-1, 6-3) gave the Wildcats (5-6) wins at first and second singles, respectively. Coyle and Cassidy forfeited at No. 3.

In doubles, the teams of Andrew Clayton/Mikyle Couto (7-5, 6-3) and Smit Patel/Tyler Holden (6-0, 6-1) completed the sweep.

Tiverton 5, Diman 1: At Tiverton, the host Tigers' Zeke Pacheco defeated Landon Begin 2-6, 7-6 (4), 10-8 (tiebreaker) in an epic first singles clash.

Tiverton's Josh Dore won third singles 6-0, 6-0. Diman's Adam Moniz battled past Dylan Clark 7-5, 2-6, 10-6 (tiebreaker) at No. 2 singles.

Tiverton's doubles sweep came courtesy of Will Brigham/Carson Hart (6-2, 6-0), Devin Guerrera/Ryan Ennis (6-0, 6-1) and Jake Vaillancourt/Dan Lopes (6-0, 6-0). 

 

GIRLS

Westport 5, Coyle and Cassidy 0: At the Lakeville Athletic Club, Amber Valcourt's gritty 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win at second singles was the most competitive match in this contest.

Annie MacMaster (6-2, 6-0 at No. 1) and Anna Camissa (6-4, 6-4 at No. 3) completed the singles sweep while the Wildcats (7-5) got doubles sweeps form Emily McMahon/Gabby Machairas (6-2, 6-1) and Brianna Quinlan/Sam McCarthy (6-0, 6-0).

Somerset Berkley 5, Durfee 0: At Somerset, Jordan Ramos (6-2, 6-1), Catie Ledwidge (6-0, 6-2) and Bianca Andronic (7-5, 7-6 [5] over Adriana Fernandes) were the singles winners while the doubles teams of Isabel Charest/Abby Tavares (7-6 [5], 6-3 over Amaya Travassos/Allison Holding) and Tatiana Sousa/Kaylin Gibbons (6-2, 6-2) completed the Raider sweep.

SB is 9-6, 9-4 for tournament purposes. Durfee is 4-7.

Bishop Stang 5, Bishop Connolly 0: At Stang, Sailor Nordstrom (6-0, 6-0), Sophie Lynch (6-2, 6-1) and Caroline Downes (6-4, 6-1) gave the Spartans (7-5) the singles sweep.

Emily Pajak/Kassie Stone (6-0, 6-0) and Sydney Oliveira/Wendy Zheng prevailed in doubles.
