HYDERABAD: It’s something that’s never happened before. No, not with the Hyderabad police. The removal of ‘Admin H’ from the
Hyderabad Traffic Police FB page and Twitter account has not gone down well with the public who have raised a chorus to get him back.
For a long time ‘Admin H’ was a mysterious figure. Curiosity about the admin grew because of the witty comments, quirky remarks and in-the-face messages in good humour to make everyone follow traffic rules. If Mumbai traffic police could build a rapport with the public with posts on the FB page that they simply loved, the FB page of the Hyderabad Traffic Police turned from being too official a page to a lively and vibrant page – thanks to ‘Admin H’ who was revealed to be 27-year-old Hari Nath Reddy.
Now, Hyderabad has launched its displeasure known with their favourite admin going missing from the page and his absence being felt. On Tuesday, ‘Admin H’ spoke out on his personal FB account of what had happened.
“Hey! brothers and sisters, so I have been officially removed out from the HTP page,” he announced. Hari explained that after the death of his girlfriend in a road accident, which he had witnessed, he did not want anyone to meet the same fate. He decided to create awareness about
road safety and chose to be witty and funny in his quest.
He also explained that he had slogged for the last six years to ‘create a bond with you all’ but jealously had pushed him back. He said he was accused of asking everyone to like his posts and also comment. “People are not fools to just do,” he said in his FB post.
“Helping people, donating my entire salary to an orphanage and being positive always. Is something wrong?” he asked.
Hari Nath Reddy said he felt bad after the decision to transfer him and he is yet to know where he would be posted. “I still love HTP, even though I am no more admin,” he said. A reading of his posts makes it clear why and how he had been relieved from the work that he loved doing most.
