The 2018 Brick Street Art & Jazz Festival will take place May 19 on Minerva’s historic North Market Street.

The festival will include various musical styles, interactive arts, food and fine crafts. Professional bands will include Blu Monsoon playing contemporary jazz at 11:45 a.m., the Furnace Street Jazz Band playing straight-ahead jazz at 1:50 p.m., Tom Freeland and Friends at 3:05 p.m., Erbo & the Buzz Factor playing jazz with steel drums and the Alliance Symphony Orchestra Big Band playing big band tunes at 6 p.m.

Saxophonist Denny Ott will play during set up at 10 a.m., and high school jazz bands will perform throughout the day. High school bands will include Minerva at 11 a.m., Northwest at 1 p.m. and Beaver Local at 5:10 p.m.

Admission will be free and the festival will be held rain or shine. In case of rain, the bands will play in the Roxy Theatre, 120 N. Market St., Minerva.
