Dirty Jokes Found in Anne Frank's Diary

Anne Frank’s diary included dirty jokes and explanations about sex, contraception and prostitution, according to newly deciphered pages.??Using digital editing techniques, researchers found that two pages were covered with brown masking paper in her diary and contained four risque jokes.????Frank van Vree, the director of the Netherlands institute for War Holocaust and Genocide studies said, “Anyone who reads the passages that have now been discovered will be unable to suppress a smile.”??According to USA Today Anne was 13 when she wrote the pages on September 28th 1942, and her family had gone into hiding from the Nazis less than three months earlier.????Anne herself described the jokes as dirty, with van Vree calling them classics among growing children.????Ronald Leopold, the executive director of the Anne Frank House museum said the newly uncovered pages bring the world “even closer to the girl and the writer Anne Frank.”??
