Migration, college transfer certificates to be issued online

Candidates have to log on to university portal ‘certificates.mgu.ac.in’ and follow the procedure

Students of Mahatma Gandhi University need no longer run from pillar to post to secure their migration certificate or college transfer certificate.

The university has simplified the otherwise cumbersome process by shifting the entire paper work online. From submitting the applications for the certificates to receiving it online, the students can now easily log on the university portal certificates.mgu.ac.in and take advantage of the digital route to meet their requirements.

A student should first log in to the portal and click the migration certificate link to begin the process. The registration and online forms are available on the website. The fee required for each application and the certificate concerned can be remitted online.

The university section dealing with issues related to migration certificate will get the request once the student completes the mandatory processes online. Officials could examine the applications online. They could also connect to other departments, if required, online as part of processing the application. The applicant could take a printout of the migration certificate online once it is uploaded by the section concerned at the university. The university has also made arrangements to verify all such certificates online.

For getting the college transfer certificate, applicants need to enter the certificates.mgu.ac.in and click on the “college transfer” link. The registration and transfer certificate application forms are available online. The Principal of the institution in which they are currently studying will get the filled-in application form online. After verification, the head of the institution could submit it. The Principal of the college to which the candidate had requested the transfer could now view the application form and submit it to the university for follow-up action.

The university section handling the college transfer requests could check whether the application has followed the rules and regulations. The transfer certificate could be generated online after completing the verification process. Besides the applicant, it could be made available to the Principals of both the institutions. The student will also have the facility to check the status of the application online.

The university has also decided to introduce a software to ensure the smooth conduct of its Syndicate meetings. The sections could prepare the Syndicate notes online. It could be modified by the senior officials before submitting it to the Syndicate section online. The members of the Syndicate will get the agenda and notes for each meeting by logging in to their account online.
