The Perfectionists has officially found a home at Freeform.
We know, that seemed like a foregone conclusion, but until today Freeform had only ordered a pilot for the Pretty Little Liars spin-off. Now the network has seen that first episode and ordered nine more episodes for a 10-episode first season to air in 2019.
The spin-off focuses on Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) and the Queen of All Things A Mona Vanderwaal (Janel Parrish) as they've relocated to the new town of Beacon Heights (not to be confused with Teen Wolf's Beacon Hills. Ugh, the crossover potential could have been unreal). The spin-off marries PLL with the world of The Perfectionists, which, like the flasgship show, is also a book series written by Sara Shepherd.
The Perfectionists Rounds Out Its Cast of Liars
Of course, the series opens up a lot of burning questions, like does Mona still have Alex (Troian Bellistario) and Mary Drake (Andrea Parker) locked in her basement? Does Alison keep in touch with any of the other Liars? Do any of these new "Perfectionists" think they have the mean-girl skills of Alison OR Mona? Girl, please.
Production on the new series begins later in 2018 in Portland for a debut on Freeform next year.
