It’s Mystery Picture time.

It’s Mystery Picture time.

Baby boomers and older, too.

Take a look and tell us who.

This photo appears to be a volleyball team, and I dear say, not a high school volleyball team. The believed year is 1964. The photographer was Norm Fontaine. As always, tell us whatever you about this picture … the players, the accomplishments, anything. Post. Call. Voice mail. This column will go on Facebook. Let it rip, and thank you in advance.

• While our HNNow Facebook page (and my own) have been helpful in identifying many of the faces in the Mystery Pictures, other people who don’t play the Facebook game are being left out and, ultimately in the dark. So, we’re going to start reprinting some the Mystery Pictures with IDs and, when we can, even more info on the teams/persons.

We start with our most recent Mystery Picture, the 1966 Somerset High School girls’ basketball team. Linda Reidy of Somerset came through with the full IDs. And here they are (left to right):

Bottom row: Patricia Demarco, Peggy Hunt, Kathy Lennon, Maureen Lennon, Sandra Curt.

Middle row: Beth Connors, Susan Hayes, Tina Iadicola, Dawn Carbonneau, Gail Hilliard.

Top row: Maureen McDermott, Sharon Burns, Coach Fran Cocoran, Joanne Doyle, Debbie Seaman, Linda Fish.

That looks like the Bristol County League championship trophy sitting in front of the team.

• An athlete to keep an eye on for the next few years.. Diman Regional’s Joseph Vacanti ran a hand-timed 52.9 in the 400 meters. Vacanti is a freshman.

• Quite a treat to see Peter Dinklage play a role in Avengers Infinity War. The 4-foot-5 Dinklage, you of course know, played Miles Finch in Elf. In Infinity War, he actually plays a giant, Eitri. The writers, I think, missed out on a chance to pay an homage or two to the Miles Finch character. Here are a few lines that would have worked.

Eitri: “I’ve got one idea for a new hammer that I’m particularly psyched out of my mind about.”

Eitri: “I’ve got forges in Paris, Vale, and L.A. , each with a 60-inch plasma.”

• More on Infinity War.

Tanous and Thanos. I recently texted Case High grad and New York Mets Director of Scouting Tommy Tanous and asked if he’s related to Infinity War supervillain Thanos. Tanous replied, “No but I am Batman.”

• Togo Palazzi (enough Miles Finch for today).
