Oil companies revise fuel prices again

Petrol and diesel prices, that were increased on Monday after nearly three weeks, saw national oil marketing companies effecting an upward revision on Tuesday too.

With this, petrol became expensive by 16 paise a litre and diesel by 24 paise at Indian Oil Corporation outlets. The new price of petrol at the outlets was ₹ 79.39, while that of diesel was ₹ 72.13.

The increase on Monday and Tuesday totalled 35 paise a litre for petrol and 50 paise for diesel.

Post Tuesday’s revision, HPCL bunks dispensed petrol and diesel for ₹ 79.43 and ₹ 72.17 respectively per litre. At BPCL outlets, petrol was priced ₹ 79.35 and diesel at ₹ 72.09. With the three companies resuming the practice of daily price revision, a change is on the cards on Wednesday too.
