Diman Regional swept a doubleheader from Southeastern Regional, 18-3 and 9-1, in Mayflower Athletic Conference softball on Monday in Easton to qualify for the South Sectional playoffs.

In the opener, Courtney Hafey belted three hits for the Bengals (10-3, 7-1 league) who assured themselves of no worse than a tie for the MAC Large Vocational title. Winning pitcher Sarah Alston struck out four.

In the second game, Hailey Roderick was the winning pitcher and Mya Parker provided stellar defense in center field.

Diman right fielder Saneywongse LeMar had two assists in the twinbill, the second for a double play.

Somerset Berkley 9, Old Rochester 3: At Somerset, winning pitcher Abby Cadorette allowed five hits and two earned runs and went 2-for-3 as the Raiders (6-6, 6-4 league) won this South Coast Conference game.

SB's Julyanne Pacheco hit a two-run single while Lindsay Chubbuck hit an RBI double and sacrifice fly.
