Fourth anniversary of Modi govt. to be celebrated

Bharatiya Janata Party’s Telangana unit president K. Laxman informed on Monday the national general secretary Ram Madhav along with Central Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Bihar’s Health Minister Mangal Pandey will soon tour the State now that the Karnataka elections are over.

Mr. Laxman, who met party president Amit Shah at New Delhi, said the party will focus more on strengthening the organisation from the parliament constituency to the booth level and even before that it will celebrate the fourth anniversary of the Narendra Modi Government by taking the development and social welfare programmes closer to the people.

Report on activities

The State BJP chief’s discussions with Mr. Shah centred around the measures to be taken up to ensure the party comes to the power in TS in the next general elections - doing well both in the Assembly and Parliament polls.

He also presented a report on the activities taken up in the last few months in the State including the Grameena Swaraj Abhiyan, partaking meals with the Dalit families and so on to Mr. Shah.

Another party functionary Satish too is expected to come for a two-day visit on May 18 and 19 to discuss the itinerary of the party chief.
