‘Trial should start on July 4 when charges will be framed’

A local court here on Monday granted the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) time till July 4 to submit the supplementary chargesheet in the case pertaining to murder of a Class II student of a Bhondsi school in 2017.

During a hearing in the court of Additional Sessions Judge J.S. Kundu, the CBI counsel said that the investigation in the matter was in progress and sought more time to submit the final and conclusive chargesheet dealing with the role of the Gurugram police and the school.

Next hearing

The court directed the CBI to file chargesheet till the next date of hearing on July 4. The court also observed that the trail should start on July 4 when charges will be framed.

3 appeals heard

Besides, the three appeals challenging the respective judgements of the Juvenile Board regarding the juvenile be tried as an adult, he should be asked to give finger prints and could be sent to custody were conclusively heard by the Child Sessions Court.

The arguments were over in all three appeals during the hearing and the Child Sessions Court reserved its judgement for May 21.
