THANE: As many as 35 passengers travelling in a private bus from Borivli to Thane had a narrow escape after it rammed into another bus on the busy Ghodbunder road, Tuesday morning.
The mishap took place near Shankar Mandir at Gaimukh as the tourist bus (MH 04 JK 4068) rammed into another bus (MH 04 GP 2781) from behind.

Rescue and police officials said they were yet to ascertain if the bus that rammed into the other was overspeeding or whether the driver of the one at the front had applied sudden brakes.

The driver of the trailing bus, identified as Bhiku Das (23), sustained severe injuries on both his limbs and is currently receiving treatment at a private Hospital on Ghodbunder Road. The 35 passengers of his bus, however, escaped unhurt.

The Thane police will investigate the case further.
