The BJP supporters in Karnataka and all over India are having a gala time celebrating the saffron surge across Karnataka even though the final results are yet to come.

For now, the BJP has grabbed 107 seats, Congress is stuck with 73 seats and JD(S) has its hands on 40 seats.

Early trends published by India Today TV showed the BJP's seat tally hovering around the 112-mark (half the number of elected seats in the assembly).

If BJP wins, this would be another electoral triumph for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.

Even though the results are yet to be announced, thousands of supporters gathered outside the BJP Karnataka's headquarters and celebrated the party's victory with "Modi, Modi" chants.
