'Midair EMERGENCY' declared on easyJet flight from Barcelona to Berlin

An easyJet flight from Barcelona to Berlin has declared an emergency

The easyJet flight took off from Barcelona at 9.30am BST. It is scheduled to arrive in Berlin at 12.35pm.

AirLive said a midair "emergency" had been declared on board flight U24526.

They tweeted: "easyJet #U24526 to Berlin SXF is declaring an emergency."

Another aviation account on Twitter said a "general emergency" had been declared with the "reason unknown".

The plane appears to be continuing on to Berlin rather than attempting to divert to a nearby airport.

easyJet has been contacted for comment.
