Uttam braves drizzle in Praja Chaitanya Yatra

The Praja Chaitanya Yatra undertaken by Congress party in the State was hit by bad weather at Chennur in Mancherial district on Monday. However, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy braved the initial drizzle to speak to the audience at the public meeting.

The Chennur public meeting, which was the second after the yatra resumed the previous day at Mancherial headquarters, began at about 7.40 p.m. Hardly a few speakers had spoken before the drizzle began. Cutting short the programme, Mr. Reddy began addressed the crowd which, had begun dissipating slowly by now. He could talk for about 10 minutes before the rain picked up speed. The TPCC president accused the family members of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of involvement in sand smuggling.
