Walkathon set to touch 2,000-km mark today

The Praja Sankalpa Yatra of YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy entered West Godavari district on Sunday as he crossed the bridge at Peda Yadlagadi, a village on the boarder of Krishna and West Godavari districts. Hundreds of party activists accorded him a warm welcome on arrival. The walkathon later proceeded towards Kalakurru before reaching Maheswarapuram for night halt. Mr. Reddy’s padayatra would touch the 2,000-km mark on Monday when he would reach Venkatapuram village near Eluru. To mark the occasion, he would unveil a 40-feet pylon in the presence of senior leaders. Mr. Reddy would cover 13 Assembly constituencies, walking a stretch of 250 km in the district before entering East Godavari.
