B’swar phase-II vaccination from May 21

For achieving the target in the vaccination of Rubella measles, the district administration here on Friday felicitated the best performing blocks and NACs.

While the first prize went to the Sadar block, the first and second runners up trophies went to Remuna block and Baleswar Municipality respectively. The consolation prizes were given to Nilgiri , Jaleswar,

Baliapal,Simulia, Soro and Oupada . The prizes , trophies and citations while were given  by district Collector Ramesh Chandra Rout in presence of other district  level officers and health officers, they were accepted by the  officials of the health ,education and ICDS officials of blocks and the municipality. Following the award giving ceremony, a task force meeting for the second phase programme of Indradhansh was organised. The district achieved a substantial record in the first phase programme which was held between April 23 and 27. Stress was laid on cent per cent success of the second phase programme. The block health officials were asked to set target for their respective blocks. Under the programme, special vaccination would be carried out for all pregnant mothers and children between 0 and 2 years age. The programme would be carried out in 55 special villagesbetween May 21 and 25. Similarly the pulse polio programe would be carried out between May 17 and 19.

Collector Rout besides emphasizing on storing adequate quantities anti- snake venom injections also stressed on the mentioning of exact reason for death while submitting joint report by doctor and magistrate in case of death related to sun stroke, drowning and snakebite, etc.CDMO Meenkashi Ray, Sub Collector Nilu Mahapatra, ADMO Paresh Nandi, Deputy Manager Child Health Sabita Panda, CDPO and BEO of different blocks were present.
