
ICSE, ISC 10th and 12th Result 2018 LIVE UPDATES: The results of Class 10 (ICSE), Class 12 (ISC) examinations have been declared on May 14 at 3 pm. All the students can check the results through the official website, cisce.org. This year, the CISCE has reduced the pass percentage. Now, a student requires 33 instead of 35 per cent for passing ICSE exams and 35 instead of 40 per cent for ISC exams. “Among many recommendations made by the Inter-Board Working Group (IBWG), it was suggested that all boards in the country should have the same pass marks criteria,” said Gerry Arathoon, chief executive and secretary of CISCE in an official communicated to all heads of affiliated schools in November. The ICSE examinations were held between February 26 and March 28, and ISC examinations between February 7 and April 2, 2018.
Last year, 96.47 per cent students cleared the Class 12 examinations, while 98.53 per cent students passed class X. Kolkata Girl Ananya Maity has emerged as the Class 12 all India topper with 99.5 per cent. Pune’s Muskan Abdulla Pathan and Bengaluru’s Ashwin Rao have jointly topped the class X exams with 99.4 per cent each.

Mumbai boy Swayam Das emerged the Class 10 all India topper with 99.4 per cent. Jalandhar’s Jasmin Kaur Chahal and Mumbai’s Anokhi Amit Mehta jointly bagged the second position with 99.2 per cent each. The third position was shared by 12 students who scored 99 per cent each. “Class 12 saw a pass percentage of 96.21 recording a slight dip from last year’s 96.47 per cent, while 98.51 per cent students passed Class 10,” said Gerry Arathoon, CEO of the Council.
In Class 12 examinations, the top scorer from The Shri Ram School bagged 99.25 per cent. The second position was shared by Tanushree Pendharkar and Sanjana Hira, both from the same school. They both scored 99 per cent. Khushank Tyagi from St Mary's Academy in Meerut Cantonment secured the third position with 98.75 per cent.
A total of 4,738 students from 47 schools in Delhi-NCR area had appeared for the class 10 examinations while 2,296 students from 31 students schools had appeared for the class 12 exams. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), which conducts the two exams, announced the results today with girls once again outperforming boys.
Gurgaon students Jivansh Kakkar and Manavi Kapoor topped the ICSE class 10 examinations while Antra Kapoor bagged the top position in the class 12 exams, the results of which were declared today. The top scorers in the class 10 exams, both from The Shri Ram School in Gurgaon, scored 98.80 per cent. The second position was bagged by Nishka Arora (98.40 per cent) from the same school. The third position was shared by Shreya Singhal, Ayesha Dhall and Kabir Oberio from The Shri Ram School, Dintyala Rahul Bhardwaj from Golden Heights School in Gurgaon and Prashati Sarraf from Sophia Girl's School in Meerut Cantonment. They have all scored 98.20 per cent.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), which declared the class 10 and 12 results today, did not follow any moderation policy this year, a top board official said."We did not follow any moderation policy. Also, there was no spiking of marks. Despite that the number of students scoring above 99 per cent has increased this year," Gerry Arathoon, the CEO of the Council, told reporters.
In Class 12, the top score was 99.5 per cent, bagged by seven students from across the country. The second position of 99.25 per cent was shared by 17 students. The third highest score was 99 per cent, bagged by 25 people. "Class 12 saw a pass percentage of 96.21 recording a slight dip from last year's 96.47 per cent, while 98.51 per cent students passed Class 10," said Gerry Arathoon, CEO of the Council.

This year, 80,800 students had registered for the examination, out of which, 43,052 are boys, and 37,828 are girls. The girls have outperformed boys, success rate of girls is 97.63%, while boys is 94.96%.
The ISC examination has been conducted in 48 written subjects of which 14 are Indian languages and 5are foreign languages and two Classical languages.

ISC: Special Difficulty Cases
- Candidates with Learning difficulty (Dyslexia etc) cases were 143 (13 candidates obtainedabove 90%).
-Visual Challenged cases were 12 (2 candidates obtained above 90%).
This year, 1,83,387 candidates had appeared for the examination, out of which, 1,00,369 candidates are boys and 83,018 are girls. The girls have outperformed boys, the pass percentage of girls is 98.95% and boys is 98.15%.
The ICSE examination has been conducted in 61 written subjects of which 22 are Indian languages and10 are foreign languages and 1 Classical language.
