Flyover wall collapse: Admn decides to shift bus stand temporarily, chalks out traffic diversion plan

Ludhiana(DP correspondent) – The city cripples due to heavy traffic jam after the Gill chowk Flyover was closed for commuters following the retaining wall of flyover was collapsed on Sunday late night. As there was no proper diversion plan and alternative route for buses to reach Bus stand the traffic remained disrupted for entire day.Deputy Commissioner, Police Commissioner and MC Commissioner held a meeting and decided to shift bus stand temporarily. The administration has asked the Bus stand authorities to make arrangements to shift Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT). Meanwhile the administration has chalked out traffic diversion plan for commuters.

Vehicles from Delhi, Patiala towards South City, Sarabha Nagar should use Southren Bypass and reach destination via Sahnewal

Similarly, the traffic towards Moga, Ferozepur from Delhi should also use Southren Bypass from Sahnewal

The traffic from Focal Point, Dhandari, kanganwal to Sarabha nagar and South City should also reach destination by using Southren Bypass via Sahnewal.

Traffic from Sherpur Chowk towards bus stand will use road opposite to Manju cinema and reach Bus Stand via Partap Nagar, gill Road, Dhuri line Bridge  Traffic from Sherpur Chow, Dholewal towards Civil Lines, ferozepur road should use Lakkad bridge
