Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC Executive Chef Crafts royal wedding tribute for couples

Published on : Monday, May 14, 2018

The Hotel’s Executive Chef Andrew Court, originally from Birmingham, England, has crafted a special royal menu to commemorate the nuptials. Court’s House of Windsor, a special four course dinner menu paired with wines inspired by the royal couple, pays tribute to the Royal Family.

The spring wedding menu embraces and highlights all the new products coming into season. The menu’s first course features Scottish salmon honouring the Royal Family Scottish estates and their passion for salmon fishing. The dish also incorporates Bowmore Scotch, one of Prince Philip’s favourites, which brings a subtle smokiness to the appetiser. The main entrée, “When Harry Met Meghan” features a special duo of Scottish filet and Atlantic lobster tail. Court’s grand finale is the Eton Mess wedding cake consisting of spring strawberries, cream and meringue as a nod to Prince Harry’s days at Eton College before joining the army. “It is the perfect way to celebrate,” says Court.

The menu and wine paring is priced at USD 217 per person and is available all year long with seasonal modifications for Fall and Winter.
