Maintenance work: No Cauvery water supply in many areas tomorrow

BENGALURU: Due to a major maintenance work to be undertaken on Tuesday at the pump houses which despatch Cauvery water to Bengaluru, many parts of the City will not receive water.

According to an official release, the following areas will be affected: Yeshwantpur, Malleswaram, Mathikere, Gokul Extension, Jayamahal, Vasanth Nagar, Muthyalanagar, R T Nagar, Sanjay Nagar , Sadashivanagar, Hebbal, Bharathi Nagar, Sudhamanagar, Palace Guttalli, Machalibetta, Frazer Town, Wilson Garden, Hombegowda Nagar, Pillanna Garden, Bannappa Park, Sivajinagar, Jeevan Bhimanagar, Chikkalalbagh, Gavipura, Byatarayanapura, Majestic, Kasthurba Road, Madivala, Yelachenahalli, ISRO Layout, Poornaprajna Layout, Neelasandra, K R Market, Sampangiramanagar, Kumaraswamy Layout, Banashankari, BSK 2 and 3rd Stage, Jayanagar, J P Nagar, Banagirinagar, Basavanagudi, Okkalipuram, Chamarajpet, Padmanabhanagar, Hoskerehalli, Byrasandra, Lingarajapura, Janakirama Layout, R S Palya, Johnson Market, Adugodi, Domlur, BTM Layout, CLR, Bapujinagar, Mysuru Road, Srirampura, Indiranagar 1st stage, Srinagar, Halasuru,  Shanti Nagar, Koramangala,Vijayanagar and Cholurpalya.

The release added that retrofitting works and maintenance of pump houses of Cauvery Water Supply Scheme, I, II & III at Tataguni, Harohalli and T K Halli would be undertaken from 8 am to 4 pm.
